"Abstract" in the process of image acquisition and processing will introduce noise, the image must first preprocessing. This paper introduces a fast median filtering algorithm, which realizes real-time processing function on the hardware platform. Considering the field Programmable gate Array (FPGA) as the hardware platform, the improved median filtering algorithm is implemented by hardware description Language Verilog. The Modelsim simulation results show that the improved median filtering algorithm based on FPGA hardware platform is not only fast, but also has good real-time processing effect and improves the efficiency of image processing.
