Release Notes:

Autocadtoansys is a small plug-in for AutoCAD 2007/2008. It is used to generate the corresponding ANSYS geometric modeling command stream based on the graphics in AutoCAD,
You can paste the generated command streams into ANSYS to generate the corresponding geometric model.

 

Note:
V0.1 is the first version with simple functions. The following ** restrictions ** are available **:
1. Only Line and Arc are supported. Currently, these two elements are most commonly used. Other elements will be supported in later versions.
2. The import scaling ratio is 0.01, that is, assume that the drawing unit in AutoCAD is centimeter, while the unit of ANSYS geometric model is meter (based on the assumptions made on the drawing on hand ). In later versions, users are allowed to set their own import ratios.

3. Only AutoCAD 2007/2008 is supported.

 

Usage:
1. Extract wdacadtoans2008.arx from the compressed package and put it in any directory. The path should contain only English characters;
2. Enter the command appload in AutoCAD 2007/2008. In the displayed dialog box, select the ARX file extracted from the previous step,
If the message "successfully loaded wdacadtoans2008.arx" is displayed, the plug-in is loaded successfully;

3. Enter the command acadtoans and select the image to be imported to ANSYS as prompted;

4. Select the origin reference point as prompted, that is, the point corresponding to the original point in the ANSYS coordinate plane in the CAD drawing;

5. After selecting the reference point, the plug-in will generate the corresponding ANSYS command stream. Copy these commands to the ANSYS to generate the corresponding set model.
