Remote connection under Windows Ubantu

To enable Windows to connect Ubantu you need to install the following software:

1. Installing WINSCP under Windows

2. Install OpenSSH Server under Ubantu

Ability to install OpenSSH server:sudo apt-get with command line Openssh-server

Ubantu will then proactively download and install OpenSSH server and resolve all dependencies together.

We can also search for "Openssh-server" through Ubantu software Center, and then click Install.

The following describes the remote connection to Linux under Windows systems:

1. First ensure that Linux is able to network and start OpenSSH server:

Sudo/etc/init.d/ssh start

2. View the IP address of Linux: ifconfig

3. Enter the remote Linux IP address in the WINSCP, the port number defaults to 22
