Applicability: Internet Explorer
Reminder:
It is still a hot issue, even in Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6 environments, and it seems to be the fate of Internet Explorer.
Problem:
「 When you right-click an image and save it to another file (or save another file), the file type can only store BMP files. What is the problem? Previously, jpg or GIF files can be saved .」
Answer:
This problem may occur if the Temporary Internet Files Folder space is insufficient. Therefore, you can solve this problem by adjusting the size of the Temporary Internet Files folder or clearing the content in the Temporary Internet Files folder.
I:
Clear the content in the Temporary Internet Files Folder. Temporary Internet Files is like a waste bin in your home. Many people do not know that this folder needs to be cleaned regularly, so it often affects the efficiency of IE and the waste of hard disk space.
· Tools> Internet Options (or tools> Internet Options)
· In general, click "Temporary Internet Files", and then click "delete file 」. (Note 1)
Test whether it is normal. If the problem persists, continue with Step 2 and adjust the size of Temporary Internet Files.
II:
The Temporary Internet Files folder is too large (like cache for the entire disk) or too small. In short, it is out of proportion to your hard disk capacity (like a 4 or 5 Gb hard disk, you only give 1 or 2 MB of cache). This problem is very likely to occur. We need to re-adjust the size of Temporary Internet Files occupied by hard disk space.
· Tools> Internet Options (or tools> Internet Options)
· In general, click Temporary Internet Files 」.
· Adjust the size of the Temporary Internet Files Folder. If it is too large, it should be smaller. If it is too small, it should be larger. I don't know what it should be, because it has something to do with your hard capacity, in short, the ratio should not be too wide.
We recommend that you first reduce the volume for testing. For example, if you set it to occupy 1200 MB, you can change it to 600 mb for testing.
Suggestion:
Clear the Temporary Internet Files folder when the browser ends to avoid the trouble of frequently clearing Temporary Internet Files.
How to do this:
Go to tools> Internet Options> advanced, in the Security Section, check: "When the browser ends, clear the Temporary Internet Files folder" and press OK.
Note 1:
Delete Temporary Internet Files in IE tools> Internet Options, try to avoid using the archive manager to directly Delete the content in the Temporary Internet Files folder to avoid unexpected phenomena.
