I. Inventory allocation and in-transit inventory

Inventory allocation is a very common operation in the inventory operation, refinement down, we can divide the inventory allocation as follows:
Type of inventory allocation
Inventory assignment type description of business type
The factory is allocated from the same factory in the inventory location A to the inventory location b
Intra-Company allocation
(Intra-company stock Transfer) from the same company in the inventory location of factory A to factory B inventory location b
Inter-firm redeployment-Inter-company procurement
(inter-company) x company under the factory C inventory location A transfer to Y company down to the factory in the inventory location b
To achieve inventory allocation, there are five ways to deal with.
1, directly through the mobile type one-step processing
Transaction code MB1B, enter the acceptance plant for the goods, accept the location and the shipping plant, the shipping location, enter the move type 301 or 311
The mobile Type 301 can be redeployed between different storage locations within the plant or between different factories within the company or different factories in different companies.
Mobile Type 311 can only be targeted at the same plant location between the different allocation

Tips: Mobile Type 301 support inter-company redeployment, one company inventory increase while another inventory reduction, but need to pass the transaction code Obya define inter-company settlement account

2, directly through the mobile type two-step processing
Transaction code MB1B, enter accept factory, location, and shipping factory, location, enter move type 303+305 or 313+315
Same as solution, but divided into 2 operations, when shipped, using move type 303 from the shipping location to the receiving factory in transit, mobile type 305 Europe Connaught factory in transit go to accept location
Move type (313+315) can only be transferred between the same plant, 313 from the location of the shipment (A) to the delivery location (b) In transit, mobile type 315 from the inventory point of Transit (b) transfer to the location of the receiving position (b)

3, through the delivery of the inventory without the order sheet
The three programmes are based on the Inventory Allocation list (stock Transfer order), and the three operational steps are as follows:
 Transaction code me21n, create purchase order, type UB, line item category U, or direct use of purchase order type NB
 Transaction code Migo, select shipment for purchase order, move type 351
 Transaction code Migo, receipt of purchase order, mobile type 101

4, through the delivery of the inventory transfer list (one step)
5, through the delivery of the Inventory allocation list (two steps)
Program 4, 5 application is very broad, both for the procurement business between companies, but also for the company to allocate, specific operations can query the information "Inter-company Procurement"

Second, in-transit inventory, transit inventory
In-transit inventory, transit inventory formation may have different operational reasons, the following inventory transfer as an example, we learn about three kinds of lead to different inventory in transit (interim inventory) of the difference between the allocation of inventory
Tips:
Definition of "in-transit inventory" and "interim inventory"
The term transit is often associated with transportation and thus forms in transit, when the stock in transit is translated for inventory in transit or on the way. And the stock in Transfer translation for transit inventory, not strictly, often referred to both as in transit, in SAP, through the transaction code MB1B rather than sto formation of "in the way" we call the "in transit" of the Transfer, through the Sto formation of "in transit" Called the stock in Transit (Sto refers to the allocation of orders)

1, Business scene description
Create three items, then perform three different types of inventory transfer operations in two-step way, and after the first shipment, look at the differences in three ways, as follows:
1 The material Z303305, uses the movement type 303 to carry on the stock to dump. Item Z303305, H001 Initialize inventory 1000 in factory, then use transaction code MB1B move type 303 do stock dump to the same factory H001 quantity 100, dump to factory H002 Quantity 200, in factory H001 and H002 temporarily do not accept goods
2 The material Z313315, uses the movement type 313 to carry on the stock to dump. The item is Z313315, the H001 in the factory is initialized with 1000, then the transaction code mb1b move type 313 moves to the same factory H001 100, in the factory H001 temporarily does not receive the goods
3 material ZSTO1, use the inventory transfer list to carry on the stock to dump. Item ZSTO1, H001 initialization Inventory 100 in factory, then transaction code me21n Create inventory dump dump 100 to same factory H001, create invoice, transaction code vl01n issue posting through transaction code VL02N, but do not accept goods

2, three different inventory in transit
When in the system according to the above business scene operation completes, three kinds of operation all carries on the delivery, but does not receive the goods, through the following transaction code to view the difference in three kinds of ways:
1 Transaction Code MM03 view the factory inventory view of three items
View the inventory of the above items in the factory, as shown in the following illustration:
The "Transshipment (factory)/in Transfer (plant)" Inventory for Materials Z303305 is 100 (in-transit inventory formed by MB1B Mobile Type 303 dumps)
 the "interim plant/in Transfer (plant)" Inventory of material Z313315 (transfer between different location of the same factory) is 0
 Inventory of "in-transit inventory/stock in Transit" for material ZSTO1 100
From this, we can conclude that the stock in transit (factory) in the factory view of the material master data is stored in transit by moving type 303, whether or not the same factory is being dumped.
The inventory in transit inventory in the factory view of the material master data is in the case of STO in the same factory, and the allocation order is in the quantity of goods shipped but not received.
Tips: Use the transfer list (STO) to carry out inventory dumps between the factories, using the two-step, when the delivery plant for the delivery of goods posted, the delivery plant inventory reduced, the receiving plant does not increase inventory, but will be shown in the following figure in the "in-transit inventory"

2 Transaction Code Mmbe view
Three types of inventory dumps are as follows:
 Transit inventory formed by mobile type 313 belongs to a specific inventory location H120 under
 Transit inventory formed by mobile type 303 does not belong to a specific inventory location, but is directly attached to the factory
 Materials Zsto through STO (stock Transfer order/inventory transfer list) formed by the inventory can not be directly viewed, can only be viewed indirectly through the outstanding purchase orders, and not clear purchase orders and in-transit inventory is not equal (inaccurate)
3 Report MB52 show inventory in warehouse
Transaction code MB52 can display the interim inventory and en route inventory, can also be summarized to display transit inventory and en route inventory
As shown in the following illustration, the interim inventory (in transfer (plant), as mentioned above, is formed by moving type 313, 303, in which inventory (stock in Transit) is formed by means of inventory allocation (STO)

4 Transaction Code mb5t view
Transaction code mb5t can be viewed through inventory transfer List (STO) formation of inventory in transit, you can find detailed information.
303 transfer of factory to factory-removal from warehouse
313 Transfer of inventory location to inventory location
Summarize:
From the system level, we should strictly distinguish between transit stock and half-way stock
1 in Transfer (interim inventory) means that one party has been issued, the other party has not received, not yet received part of the system is reflected in the specific factory or inventory location.
2 The stock in the Transit (in-transit inventory) means that one party has been issued, the other party has not received, not yet received part of the inventory on the book (financial account) is not reflected, can only be viewed in the form of a report
Specifically, the following issues should be noted with regard to in-transit inventory and transit inventory:
1 The difference between different stock dumps, the transfer type 313 caused by the transit inventory is under the specific inventory location, so if the target inventory location is clear, should use 313 types; Move type 303 The transit stock is owned by a particular factory, not the inventory location
2 Storage of stock in transit and transfer of inventory information. Transit inventory records caused by move type 303 are in table Marc, there is a factory level in the staging library, and the staging stock record of move type 313 is in Mard and the staging library exists at the inventory location level
Through the inventory transfer list, resulting in the transit information is not recorded in the inventory table, but only in the table Eket Records, table Eket recorded the inventory transfer list of the planned quantity, the number of invoices, the number of shipments posted, the number of receipts
3) In-transit inventory is sometimes easily overlooked, hair kitchen think I have issued, the receiving side thinks anyway I have not received, therefore, the enterprise should be clear that part of the inventory in transit in charge of the Department, on the other hand, through the tracking of transport documents to ensure that the buyer's timely receipt of goods
4 One-step, two-step inventory dump. Two step refers to the delivery, receipt of goods divided into two steps to operate, one-step law is the delivery of the automatic receipt of goods. It is obvious that one step operation is simpler, but it should be flexibly adopted according to the actual situation.
