At the boss's request, I needed to implement the function of sending messages to others. Naturally, I decided to use the messenger service provided by windows, but there was a problem, this service is forbidden by almost everyone. so they need to be started automatically.
XP comes with the SC tool. Syntax:
SC config messenger start = auto (automatic mode)
SC config messenger start = demand (manual mode)
Note! I added a space to the right of the equal sign.
This space is really confusing to me. For some reason, if this space is not added, the command cannot be executed. What's more annoying is that,
I didn't even have an error prompt. I got a wrong error. After being depressed for a long time, I finally tried it out. Just add a space after the equal sign.
Dizzy!
However, we later found that many of our company's computers are equipped with 2 k systems, while 2 K does not have SC tools and only XP is available, so we can only give up SC and use the write registry method:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ Messenger
Modify the start value under this key. 3 is manual, 2 is auto, and 4 is disabled.
By the way, write down the whole process of import:
1. Compile the reg file
Regedit4
// Empty row
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ Messenger]
"Start" = DWORD: 2
2. Compile batch processing so that no prompt is displayed when you import the reg file.
