After 3D effects are enabled in Ubuntu7.10, SCIM cannot be used. Some friends cannot use SCIM after 3D effects are enabled in ubuntu7.10, and Ctrl + space cannot play the Chinese Input Method. Scim settings-> global settings-> remove the check mark before embedding the pre-edited string in the client

Scim settings->; gtk-> uncheck embedded candidate tokens

Restart scim

Open the terminal and enter pkill scim

Enter scim-d
