3.2 Adding an on-demand package

Creating a package contains several decisions about your target user or delivery group requirements, and you must also select Add-ons, secure access policies, workspace default configurations, and so on to meet your users ' needs. When you build a package for the first time, many of these settings will default to your service.

1. In the Secure packages list on the left side of the dashboard, double-click On-demand Secure Delivery, and the detailed page of the software displays the package that you created for the software.

2. Click the Add icon in the Packages section.

3. Enter the title of the package. If you choose this method to distribute the software, the title will be displayed on the portal page. The settings for any group appear in the list of groups, and you can select one or more target groups in the package, and then click Next.

4. Select a Secure Marketplace Directory association package.

The package opens the overview option.

At this point, the default access, environment, and security policies are created for the package.

Software for Management Packs

You can further customize the package by specifying the target version and adding third-party software, on the hub you can have multiple versions of third-party software.

1. Click the SOFTWARE option.

2. Select the version of Eclipse that can deliver this package.

You can enable Drag-to-install so that users can take advantage of this feature from the portal site. However, this feature is only enabled for on-demand packages. Otherwise, the user can install the package by adding an update site for the Eclipse version. The URL of the update site is displayed on the portal site page.

3. Select additional software that is included in the installation. Expand the list of available attachment software, select the add-ons that you want to include, and then click the Adding icon. The additional software appears in the list of additional software selected. If you purchased a certification package, these add-ons appear in the list. Otherwise, you must add software to the third-party library.

4. If you want to include a secure marketplace directory in this package, enable marketplace in the Secure Marketplace section and select a marketplace. This option is the default setting when you create a package.

SDC includes a default marketplace, which contains all the additional software available. Certified Popular software Pack, these attachments are included in the default marketplace directory and can be added to other directories. You can add additional third-party repositories and create secure marketplace catalogs to meet your team's needs.
