I believe many people like to listen to songs on the computer and watch the lyrics. On Windows, there are already many excellent music playing software with its own lyrics, but in linux, generally, a player does not contain any lyrics. It relies on third-party plug-ins. There are many types of lyrics plug-ins on Linux, such as Rhythmbox, audacious, and exaile.

However, it is developed by developers outside China. The usage habits and compatibility with Chinese characters are somewhat flawed for Chinese users, such as the lack of the lyrics display function and garbled song tags. Although many plug-ins support lyrics, such as Luban lyrics (rhythmbox plug-ins) and Exaile-cn (Exaile extension) lrcdis (supports Rhythmbox, Amarok, Quod Libet, Exaile, Audacious, MPD, MPlayer, MOC) and so on, but they all exist in the form of plug-ins and extensions and are not very comfortable. Today, the editor recommends several Linux-based lyrics plug-ins.

LrcShow-X: lrcShow-X is a lyrics display tool based on pyQt, NLP, and other technologies. Compared with the previous show scripts or plug-ins such as audaciois and amarok, lrcShow-X is a new star. First of all, it has integrated all the functions required by a lyrics display so far (refer to mature applications such as jingting ), edit the lyrics, embedded Mp3 lyrics, and so on. It is even displayed on OSD carried forward by Ubuntu Jaunty.

Lrcdis: lrcdis is a Bash script that allows you to display the lyrics in other ways. Currently, lrcdis supports most music players in Linux, including Rhythmbox, Amarok, Quod Libet, Exaile, Audacious, MPD, MPlayer, and MOC.

Luban lyrics: a plug-in for Rhythmbox. This plug-in feature downloads and saves the lyrics from multiple lyrics sources and automatically loads the local lyrics locally. The file encoding embedded interface displays the lyrics and uses gnome-osd to display the lyrics in a rolling manner.

Exaile-cn: Exaile-cn is a project that extends Exaile. By extending Exaile, The Exaile function is richer and more in line with the usage habits of Chinese users, it provides domestic Linuxer with a more localized player.

Osd-lyrics: OSD Lyrics is a third-party lyrics program developed by Chinese Tiger Soldier. It can display the Lyrics of QQ music in Windows for multiple Linux players, and automatically downloads the lyrics from the Internet.

Today, I shared with you the plug-ins that can implement the lyrics playing function in Linux. With the continuous improvement of the Linux version, I believe there are more excellent Linux plug-ins.
