The Global addressing mode of IPv6 requires that the security deployment should be at a more coordinated and unified level, instead of implementing security through a stack solution like IPv4. Through IPsec in IPv6, You can encrypt/authorize communications on the IP layer (that is, all applications running on the IP layer. Through mobile IPv6, you can achieve seamless access to the remote enterprise intranet (such as the enterprise VPN Network) and achieve permanent connection.

4. convenient automatic configuration. In IPv6 technology, the host address configuration methods include stateless automatic configuration, full-state automatic configuration (DHCPv6), and static address, this means that the addressing method in the IPv6 environment can achieve more efficient self-management, making it easier to move, add, and change, and significantly reducing the cost of network management. Stateless automatic configuration is an important method for mobile nodes to obtain addresses. nodes use the Neighbor Discovery Mechanism to automatically obtain unique globally routable addresses, this plug-and-play address configuration method does not require manual intervention by the user or operator, which is in line with the Internet access requirements of mobile devices. If it is configured in full state, a server is required for DHCP, at the same time, the operation and maintenance work has also been added.

5. QoS Assurance. The header of the IPv6 Protocol adds a stream tag domain. A 20-bit long stream tag domain allows any network's intermediate point to determine and treat data streams of a specific IP address differently, although the actual usage of stream tag is not standardized yet, it is certain that it can be used to support new billing systems based on service levels and other standards in the future. IPv6 also improves service quality through several other methods, such as providing permanent connections, preventing service interruptions, and improving network performance.

6. IPv6 uses static hometown addresses to identify each node. When a mobile node leaves the home subnet, it sends information about its current location to its home agent on the home link, the home site proxy intercepts the data packets sent to the mobile node address and sends the data to the current location of the mobile node through a tunnel. This mechanism is completely transparent to all network layers (such as TCP, UDP, and all applications) above the IP address. Therefore, the DNS record of a mobile node directs to the home address of the node, when a mobile node changes its Internet access point, it does not need to change its DNS records. In fact, mobile IPv6 only affects packet routing and is independent of the routing protocol itself (such as RIP and OSPF ).

7. Mobile IPv6 also creates a care-of-address ). When a node changes its network access point, the forwarding address of the node can be generated in two ways, one is obtained by receiving a notification from the router (the Stateless Address is automatically configured ), one is allocated by the DHCP server (the full-state address is automatically configured ).
