Yesterday, that is, November 19, Sun finally launched the official version of netbeans ide 6.5
: Http://www.netbeans.org/downloads/index.html
I can't wait to install it, but I like it very much. It has the following improvements compared with 6.1:
First, the startup speed is significantly faster. Not only is the loading speed at ide startup, but more importantly, the installation of plug-ins is just a fast speed. In retrospect, opening the "plug-in" interface in more than 6.1 menus is a real death.
2. Added support for PHP. This can be said to have a considerable amount of weight in the open-source market.
Third, the database connection seems to have changed. When establishing a database connection,
Ide6.1 is like this: (connect to sql2005 as an example .)
JDBC: sqlserver: // 10.103.33.68: 1433; databasename = testdb2008
Ide6.5 is like this:
JDBC: sqlserver: // 10.103.33.68\ Vegnet: 1433; databasename = testdb2008
Note that you have added support for database server instance names.
In the past, we had to modify the port to correspond to different database servers.
For example, my SQL2000 port is 1403, sql2005 port is 1433, and sql2008 port is 1483. Otherwise, the Instance name is not recognized.
In the new connection mode, you can add an Instance name or no instance name. The connection is successful! This is a good news for MSSQL users!
