Several methods to solve the task bar crash

Suspended service bar:

When you want to switch the window in the taskbar while using windows xp, you suddenly find that clicking the icon in the taskbar does not respond, and clicking the start button does not. Just like a system crash. However, you can click the icon on the desktop to run the program. There is no problem with using some shortcut keys, which means the system has not crashed. The task bar with no response is restored after several times. This is called the "task bar suspended ". We can solve it in multiple ways.

Solution:

1. Upgrade to windows xp sp1. It has not been reported that the task bar is suspended for users working in sp1.

2. Download the dedicated Task Bar suspended patch.

3. Disable the advanced text service.

Windows XP's "Advanced text service" includes speech, handwriting, and Chinese keyboard input services. Our commonly used input methods are also classified as advanced text services in Windows XP. However, some services, such as handwriting or voice functions, may conflict with some software. The most obvious reaction is that the taskbar has no response. For example, if we clear the document record and click "OK" or enable multiple IE to close quickly, the task bar is likely to be suspended.

In fact, there are not many people who use the voice and handwriting functions in the advanced text service. We can close them completely. Open "Control Panel", click "switch to classic view", double-click "region and language options", click the "language" tab in the dialog box, and then click "details, in the open "text service and input language" dialog box, click "language bar", select the "Close advanced text service" option, and save the settings.

Because the Chinese input method is also part of the advanced text service, after the service is disabled, the result is that the input method switching bar disappears. We can only use the shortcut key "Ctrl + Shift" to switch the input method.

4. Disable visual effects and use the classic Start Menu

In some cases, the task bar suspended may be related to visual effects, for example, the task bar generated when multiple IE is quickly disabled. Right-click the "my computer" icon on the desktop, select "properties", click the "advanced" tab, and click "set" in the "performance" area, in the displayed "performance options" dialog box, select "adjust to optimal performance", disable all special effects, and save and exit. Right-click the start button, select Properties, select the classic start menu option, and click OK to save.
