I. Modem Configuration

 

It is important to first ensure that you have used the router function! Tool-Administrator settings-enable the routing function or you will not be able to set the pppoe Function

1. enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of the browser (this is the default address of the router and the default gateway of the system). If you have not changed the password, by default, both the password and account are admin.

2. Select [Quick settings], as shown in the following figure:

 

 

 

The first note is: the seven connections provided by default, that is, the area circled by the red line in the figure (the interface may be different but it does not affect our settings ), find out which connection is used. Normally, it should be bridge_0_35 and bridge_8_35. The connection I use here is bridge_0_35. To enable automatic dial-up Internet access at startup, I need to modify the connection. Normally, the connection cannot be changed. Therefore, we need to delete the connection, create a new connection.

Note the following default parameters before deleting a connection: VPI and VCI. Here, the VIP number is 0 and the VCI number is 35. Then we delete it. If your connection is bridge_8_35, delete the connection bridge_8_35. If you delete the connection but find it is not your connection, it does not matter. We can still create this connection. The parameter is set to the default one.

3. Next we will establish our connection: select: [New Connection] as shown below:

4. Save settings

After the configuration is complete, we select Tools to display the following:

Follow the settings in the image to save all our configurations.

2. Set local connection

Restart your computer to see if the network is ready without dialing? If it is lost, restart the computer.

DHCP Functions

1. Configure DHCP

If you have several computers and want to use them without static IP addresses, you can use the DHCP service. The specific settings are as follows:
