Share the local hard disk during Windows Remote Logon

Windows Remote Login I think everyone has used it. But what if I need to copy files or folders on the remote computer during remote login? Before learning the following tips, I did this:

1. Remote Logon

2. Create a shared folder on a remote computer

3. Copy files or folders through network sharing on a local computer

Although this can achieve the goal, it is much more troublesome to compare with the method I will talk about below (especially when there are many files or folders to be copied and distributed in different directories ). In fact, local hard disks can be shared during Windows Remote logon. The following uses Windows 7 in English as an example to describe how to use this very useful function.

1. Click "options" in the remote logon dialog box.

2. Select the "local resources" Page

3. Click "more ..." Button

4. Select the drive letter you want to share in the pop-up dialog box

After logging on remotely, open my computer. In resource manager, you will find "C on xxxxxxx" added to "other" (xxxxxxx is your local computer name) and match the local computer drive letter selected in the dialog box.

In this way, you can copy and paste files on the same computer. Is it much more convenient!

Software developers often need to map some folders. For example, a local development environment and a remote computer is a test environment. If you can map a folder to a local compilation and Output Folder on a remote test computer, therefore, during each test, you do not need to copy the latest file to the test computer. The above method also provides a very useful function-a virtual computer named "tsclient" was created during Remote logon, you can use \ tsclient to access the shared local computer hard disk.

Although we can use the network sharing method to implement the above functions. But what if several developers share a remote computer for testing? In this way, the network folder will be re-mapped every time (because each machine name is different ). The above method solves this problem, because as long as the same settings are used during Remote logon, no matter which computer is used for logon, on the remote computer, you can use the same machine name "tsclient" to access the local computer, so there is no need to remap the folder.
