Site Collection Backup

The data is undoubtedly the most important for the enterprise. As SharePoint becomes increasingly the center of information and documentation, it is also very necessary to protect its data.

SharePoint built-in backup and restore SharePoint data, enabling administrators to back up and restore data without relying on third-party tools.

in Farm Administrator's identity, login to Central Administration inside, into the Backup and the Restore inside. There are two parts, one is a Farm -level backup, and one is a granularity-level backup. The granularity level consists of Site collection/site/list three levels.

Click on the " Perform A site collection backup " , opens a new page.

on this page, select a Site Collection , and enter a path for the backup.

Click on the " Start Backup "Then you can back up and jump to the Job State of the page. On this page, you can view the status of the current backup Job . If Site Collection is large, you can View the latest status by clicking Refresh.

Backup Job After the end, you can find the backup on the disk. Bak the file.

but you can see SharePoint does not provide the restored page on the page, you must pass PowerShell to proceed. Please refer to the next blogpost.
