Yesterday I posted Silverlight for Linux and DLR (Dynamic Language Runtime ). In the morning, I saw a new post, silverlight1.0beta and silverlight1.1 Alpha, and a new version of Silverlight, managed code support, and ironruby. After downloading the SDK, let's take a look at the changes from CTP to Beta, just like ALTAS to Asp.net Ajax. Of course, many functions have been added.
The client's JavaScript is bound to Asp.net Ajax. Fortunately, I have always been Asp.net Ajax, and the client framework uses the Asp.net Ajax model. There are not many functions in Version 1.0, but there are still a lot of Apis added. For details, refer to the new API for the Silverlight 1.0 Beta. In Version 1.1, CLR support is added and a new DLR class library is added. Many languages are supported, including C #, VB, ironpython, and javax.pdf. It is worth looking forward. But CLR is. A subset of net 3.5 means to install orcas as a development tool. vistual Studio 2005 is powerless, forcing me to install orcas and download the Big Guy of nearly 6 GB, it seems that the memory is going to be added again.
For more information about DLR and ironpython, see the Microsoft ceremony in section 5.1 (silverlight1.1alpha, ironpython2.0alpha, Microsoft ASP. NET futures May 2007, DLR, Jasper)
