In the process of using Word, it is a good practice to encrypt files that involve important information such as business secrets. specifically to encrypt the document processing, there are mainly the following two ways:
Method one, using Word's Tools menu to set it up. Action steps are as follows:
1. Use Word to open the document that you want to encrypt.
2. In Word, select the Options menu item under the Tools menu to open the Options dialog box.
3. Open the Save tab and enter a password in the open password and password to modify text boxes in the shared options area of the file.
4. Click "OK" button.
5. Use a menu command or toolbar button to save the file, and then complete the encryption of the document. When you open and modify the document later, you will be required to enter a password, which guarantees the security of this document.
Method Two, use Word's File menu to set it up. Action steps are as follows:
1. Use Word to open the document that you want to encrypt.
2. Select the Save As menu item on the File menu to open the Save As dialog box.
3. In the Save As dialog box, click the Tools button, select the General Options menu item (Word2002 to click the Tools button, select the Security menu item), and open the Save tab.
4. In the shared options area of the file, enter a password in the password to open and password to modify text boxes.
5. Click "OK" button.
6. Save the file, and complete the encryption of the document.
