Simple tutorial on Sorting by using sort () in Python, pythonsort

The object in the sort () method sorting list. func (if given) is used for comparison ).
Syntax

The syntax of the sort () method is as follows:

List. sort ([func])

Parameters

  • Func -- this is an optional parameter. If yes, this function is used to sort objects in the list.

Return Value

This method does not return any values, but sorts the specified objects in the list.
Example

The following example shows how to use the sort () method.

#! /Usr/bin/pythonaList = [123, 'xyz', 'zara ', 'abc', 'xyz']; aList. sort (); print "List:", aList;

When we run the above program, it will produce the following results:

List: [123, 'abc', 'xyz', 'xyz', 'zara ']
