As the saying goes, please be easy to give away, and install some software out of some need, when you no longer need to use them, such as illegal deletion, software shutdown, software bugs, and other reasons, it is often possible that the software cannot be uninstalled or not completely uninstalled, sometimes when we delete a file or folder, the system prompts that it cannot be deleted, which is indeed a headache. Now let's look at the solution.
I. conventional solutions
1. Cancel or restart the computer, and try again to delete it.
2. Go to "delete in security mode ".
3. Use the DEL, DELTREE, and RD commands on the pure doscommand line to delete it.
4. If there are many subdirectories or files in the folder that cannot be deleted, you can delete the subdirectories and files in the folder before deleting the folder.
5. if a software installation directory still exists after the "add or delete program" option is uninstalled, and several files are left in the installation directory, the system prompts that the file is being used and cannot be deleted.
Shut down the process (it is best to close all programs before this, 1), switch to the Command Prompt window, use the DOS command to enter the folder that cannot be deleted, enter the "Del folder name" to delete the folder. After the deletion is complete, select the new task details file in the task manager, and enter “explorer.exe to re-create the system shell.
Ii. advanced solutions
1. disk error
Run the disk scan and scan the partition where the file is located. Before scanning, check whether the repair file and bad sector have been selected. scan all the options and then delete the file (figure 2 ).
2. Pre-read Mechanism
Some videos or image files cannot be deleted when playback is interrupted or being previewed. In the run box, enter REGSVR32/u shmedia. DLL to cancel the pre-read function. Alternatively, delete the [HKEY _ LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesCLSID {87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E} InProcServer32] key value in the registry. Then you can delete the file.
3. Firewall
When the antivirus software detects the virus, it prompts that the file is in use when deleting the file. In this case, you can stop or close the file and delete it.
4. Office and WPS Software
If you disable Office or WPS illegally, the file cannot be deleted or renamed. Run the program again, close it normally, and then delete the file.
5. Use WinRAR
Right-click the folder to be deleted and select "add to compressed file ". In the displayed dialog box, select "delete source file after compression" and enter a compressed package name. Click "OK" (Figure 3 ).
6. Permission issues
In Windows 2000/XP/2003, check whether you have the permission to delete this file or folder.
7. Deletion of executable files
When the DLL dynamic link library called by the image or program of the execution file is not released in the memory, the system also prompts that the file is in use, the solution is to delete the system page files under DOS (Win386.SWP in Win98 and pagefile in Win2000/XP. sys ).
8. File crushing
Using a File shredder, such as a Windows optimizer or File Pulverizer, can completely delete some stubborn files.
9. Using the small software-WhoLockMe
Install WhoLockMe
: Html "target = _ blank>
Http://www.skycn.com/soft/20381.html
After installation, you can find "who locked me?" In the right-click menu ?" Click it to see who is calling the file. Press "End Process" to close the program that calls the file, then you can easily delete any unnecessary files (figure 4 ).
10. Clear residual items after the software is uninstalled
The software is detached from the "add or delete programs" on the control panel, but it still exists in "Add/delete programs", although it does not affect the system operation, but I always think it is awkward. How can I completely clear it?
Method 1: Remember the software name and find the corresponding CPL file under the WindowsSystem folder (because each delete item corresponds to this CPL file, the CPL file will no longer be deleted if it is deleted ), after deletion, the corresponding items in the control panel will disappear.
Method 2: Start the Registry Editor. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersinUninstall], select the application name to be deleted, and right-click Delete (figure 5 ).
11. Clear WinXP built-in programs
If the uninstallation option cannot be found in "delete or add programs" for programs bound to the system, enable "Sysoc. inf file. Use the replacement function to replace "hide" with "," (without quotation marks). Save the file and restart the computer, the "Add/delete program" contains the deletion items of built-in programs such as Media Player.
