Slackware Linux: Update Fonts

1. After downloading the font, copy the font to/usr/share/fonts/(Note whether the font is commercial)
You can create directories for ease of management. After copying the file, modify the font permission so that users other than root can use it.

2. Create a font cache:
Mkfontscale
Mkfontdir
(The x Font uses things. Currently, the freetype/fontconfig combination is usually used to draw words, so you can ignore this step.
This is done to prevent some programs from finding fonts. Early programs index fonts through such things. )

3. fc-cache-fv # is the key. Remember to use the root permission unless you have installed it in the home directory.
