Software Freedom Day 2014, to be held on September 20. Software Freedom Day (Sfd,software Freedom days) is a global celebration of free software and open source software. Starting in 2006, it is scheduled to be held in the third Saturday of September each year, with the aim of promoting and disseminating free/open source software to the public.

Software Freedom Day was launched by DFF (Digital Freedom Foundation, the Cyber Freedom Foundation), a non-profit organization. The global activities of freedom of education day and hardware Freedom Day are also initiated by the organization.

2014 Software Freedom Day, has now begun to accept the registration of local organizations, can go to the event homepage registration.

As of this time, there are only two cities registered in China: Beijing and Shenzhen.
