Solution to autochk.exe failure during Windows Startup

At each startup, after the Windows XP scroll bar, it is always a blue screen and the following prompt is displayed:/SYSTEMROOT/Windows/system32/autochk.exe-progrom not found skipping autocheck

The solution is as follows:

1. If the file autochk.exe is not found in the C:/Windows/system32/directory, find the file in the i386 directory of the system installation disk and overwrite it in the C:/Windows/system32/directory.

2. Choose Start> Run regedit to open the Registry Editor and find
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/system/CurrentControlSet/control/Session Manager
Check whether there is a bootexecute item in the right window. If not, create this item.
Then, right-click in the right window and select "new-Multi-string value Key". The Value Name Is bootexecute. Then, right-click the item and select "modify ", enter autocheck autochk in the value data *

Restart... if the fault persists... there is a third method

Enter "my computer"-"right-click the drive C"-"attribute"-"tool"-"error-start check, the system will prompt you "a file is occupying the system file. Do you want to run this program the next time you start the computer? ", Select "yes"

After restarting the computer, the computer will have an illegal self-check screen to let it self-check (the speed will be very slow, please wait patiently, my configuration, P4 2.0 m memory). It will take about five minutes.
