Solution to failure of SecureCRT to connect to Ubuntu 14.0.4.1
Problem description

The Ubuntu 14.0.4.1 virtual server is re-installed through VirtualBox. When the root account is used in SercureCRT to connect to Ubuntu14.0.4.1, the message "Password Authentication Failed, Please verify that the username and password are correct. "re-enter the password, repeatedly check the password multiple times and re-enter the correct password, or prompt the same error.

Solution

1. log on to the VM terminal using the root account and edit the/etc/ssh/sshd_config file.
