SQL Server 2012 installation configuration (PART1)


2. Server Installation

After running Setup, first enter the SQL Server installation Center. Select the Install menu item in the left navigation tree.

In the menu on the right, click on "New SQL Server Standalone installation or add features to an existing installation" to go to the Setup Support Rules dialog box.

After checking, click the < OK > button to enter the Product Key dialog box.

Enter the Product key, click < Next > button to enter the Microsoft Software License Terms dialog box.

When I accept the license terms, click the < Next > button to enter the Product Updates dialog box.

After you cancel the include SQL Server product update, click < next > button to go to the Install Setup File dialog box. Figure 2-6 Installing the installer files

When the system is ready to complete, it will automatically jump to the Setup Support Rules dialog box.

After checking, click < Next > button to enter the Settings Role dialog box.

Select SQL Server Feature installation, click < Next > button to enter the Feature selection dialog box.

Select the features shown and set the shared features directory and shared features directory (x86).

The shared features directory and the Shared features directory (x86) can be set according to the actual situation to avoid running out of C: \ disk space. Cheng that

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\ and C:\Program Files (x86) \microsoft SQL Server\.

Click < Next > button to enter the Installation Rules dialog box.

After checking, click < next > button to go to the Instance Configuration dialog box.

Select default instance, and the instance ID is recommended to use "MSSQLSERVER", and do not modify it arbitrarily. To modify the instance ID, first select named instance, and then enter the new instance ID. Select the instance root directory according to the actual situation.

If you are installing SQL Server with a non-default instance, in the Install Check installation parameters step, you need to enter the instance name in the instance name pop-up box.

Click the < Next > button to enter the disk Space Requirements dialog box.

Click < Next > button to enter the Server Configuration dialog box.

Set the account name of SQL Server agent, Database engine, integration Service item to NT Authority\System. When the settings are complete, click the Collation tab.

With the default configuration, click < Next > button to enter the Database Engine Configuration dialog box.

Configure the authentication mode to mixed mode and enter the password for the "sa" user. SQL Server 2012 has certain requirements for password complexity, please refer to the online Help documentation built into the system for information. Then you need to specify the SQL Server administrator as shown in the actual situation.

The SA user password should not contain the following characters:< > | \ t, the password cannot be detected normally when IMC is installed. If other factors are considered, the password for the SA user must use the above characters, you can create another database user with the same permissions as the SA, and ensure that the new user's password does not contain the above characters.

The directories in the Data Catalog tab are set after consultation with the SQL Server administrator.

The FILESTREAM tab does not require any configuration, and it takes the default values.

Click < Next > button to enter the Error Reporting dialog box.

Without any configuration, click < Next > button to enter the Install Configuration Rules dialog box.

After checking, click < next > button to go to the Ready to Install dialog box.

Click the < install > button to enter the installation Progress dialog box.

After the installation is complete, the "need to restart the Computer" dialog box pops up, click the < OK > button to enter the Completion dialog box. Figure 2-23 Complete

Click < close > button to close the dialog box. Restart the computer, and the server installation is complete.
