Summary of EBS R12 general ledger settings

 

R12: <R11 contains only three elements: accounting subject, currency, and accounting calendar> • Accounting subject
• Ledger currency
• Accounting calendar


• Accounting methods (new fourth element)

1. Set COA value set: Company segment, cost center segment, and subject segment

2. Set the COA elastic Domain Structure
Flexfields-> key-> segment
1) create a coa structure: edg_coa
2) Set segments

3) value set for segments allocation

4) Freeze elastic domains, enable elastic domains, allow dynamic input, and compile elastic Domains
NOTE: If dynamic input is allowed, users can enter any available combinations when selecting accounts. Otherwise, only accounts that have been generated can be entered.

3. Set the calendar type and accounting calendar
General ledgaer Super User-> setup-> events ALS-> clendars-> Period
Types/Accounting

Define the accounting calendar (you need to set an adjustment accounting period. Generally, the value 12-31 is set to the adjustment period, and adjustments must be allowed)

4. Enable currency (enable the currency to be used: CNY and STAT) General
Ledgaer Super User-> setup-> currencies-> define

5. Set the legal entity (set the legal entity jurisdiction and address)

Entity Manager-> legal entity
Aggregator-> setup-> jurisdictions/adddress

7. Set preset files

1) set the GL ledger name at the site layer.

2) The value of the preset file unique: seq_numbers is not captured when you enter the journal. solution:
Set profile: 'sequential
Numbering 'is set to 'not used'

8. Open the General Account during the accounting period
Ledger Super User-> setup-> open/close
