Summary of the presentation

Since receiving the task of preparing prize materials in September 26, six people (not including review leaders and employees) have been busy for more than half a month and finally handed in the paper, we invested about 13 hours before December 31, October 1, and handed in the draft on December 31, October 13. We discussed the change for 67 hours. The total investment was over 80 hours! I also ran Beijing and left for 2 days. Others spent more time than I did! It took me more time to prepare the doc. What did we innovate for the 15-minute ppt and the last piece of paper? What have you learned? Now let's reflect on it.

Poor tips:

1) Aside from the fact that the PPT is separated from the doc, I have made a lot of effort to repeat the words in the PPT, A sentence usually needs to be modified for a long time (but sadly, it is often cut off without a word during the review by a large leader !), Everyone laughed: if the project PPT was written like this, it would be hard to stand out! If such an investment can be made during the project implementation process, it will be difficult for the project to come up with results!

2) several key animations have made great effort by the artist to work well with the text. If all the films are like this, the effect would be better. Of course, the time is not allowed.

3) Although I do not know whether the materials can be reviewed as expected, I have a better understanding of the project's prospects and objectives.

Questions and reflections:

1) similar to software development projects that involve collaboration among multiple people, you should introduce version management as soon as possible when writing materials together. Although each PPT may not take much time, however, the number of people coming out of a version every day for half a month is quite impressive. The most terrible thing is the modified content. During the discussion, it was found that it was back to the previous version, especially when the text and sound were merged in the last two days.

2) You must have a good PPT master at the beginning. In the end, there will be more than 50 PPT slides. You can adjust the text position, Font, size, and color on a page for countless times. At last, the artist will refresh all the slides! Previous changes are useless! In fact, after setting the master, the title, content location, Font, and size are determined. You only need to pay attention to the content, and finally finish the color scheme together, in the future, you do not need to pick up colors for the foreground, background, emphasis, and fill!

3) for office version problems, 2003 or 2007 is required for the final materials to be reported, but usually 2010 or 2013 is used. There are many problems when converting to a lower version, if the text exceeds the border, the animation effect cannot be reached, and the sound is faulty, the tighter the time, the more error-prone it will be! The centralized use of powerpoint2003 and PPT storage formats in advance can save later time. Just as software development teams all use development tools of the same version.

4) you absolutely cannot create elaborate animations in the early stage. After each discussion at the conference, because the film will certainly be greatly changed, many shapes need to be removed or re-assembled, and the early animation will become invalid. It is absolutely not worth the candle to spending too much time on the animation.

5) the casual discussion took many detours. Every time the PPT was discussed at the conference, a major adjustment would occur, and the idea was gradually unified as soon as the deadline was reached. As a result, there were not many films available a few days ago and almost all of them had to be redone, it is a fatal blow to the combat power of workers. The discussion at the beginning only raised divergent ideas and did not put forward specific modification suggestions. The results wasted a lot of time. It was not until the last two discussions that some people held down the keyboard and talked about where to change it. One change was slow but reduced rework.

6) a cloud disk management can be introduced. If the file names modified by multiple users are properly put together, this will save a lot of time for uploading and downloading, and even the parts in charge of each person should not be merged as much as possible, you only need to merge a version temporarily before reporting to the big leader.

7) Role of the General Director. Making this PPT is like making a movie. You must give something to an unknown audience at the beginning, and then constantly portray these key words through several scenarios, these key words need to be enhanced with animations and text, so that the audience can remember these key words. The last PPT may be the most failed place here. Every audience heard a lot of new words. By the end of 15 minutes, there was no keyword left in their minds!

8) the technology management department should definitely cancel this award! The most valuable retained results should be elaborated in the form of DOC, rather than spending a lot of time beautifying a ppt from the doc. After all, scientific research is not a movie. The judges didn't even have time to read the materials. They just came to a conclusion by watching the 15-minute PPT? Who knows what they rated?
