Summary of tips that you've neglected under Windows 8 systems

We're always "a little bit more" for Windows users, and some of the less common tips will make your Win 8 easier to use.

1. Re-open the Delete confirmation dialog box

So many years. Windows users may already be familiar with the Confirm button when the file is deleted, but in Windows 8 the default is to "confirm that you want to delete a specific file" prompt. This change in detail may be confusing to a lot of users, but don't worry, there are ways you can get back to the dialog box.

Right-click the Recycle Bin, choose Properties, and then select the "Show Delete confirmation dialog box" option at the bottom of the pop-up dialog box.

Note: In fact, Win8 Remove this dialog box is also worth encouraging, after all, delete this action is not irreversible, a user mistakenly deleted the chance is very small, and even if the wrong deleted users can go to the recycling station to retrieve the deleted files, the cost is very small. But every deletion of a file will be a dialog box asking to confirm whether the deletion of the user's cost is very large. So the details of the changes in our view is very worthy of recognition.

2. Automatic Save screenshot

In Windows 8, you don't have to press the PRTSC key like Windows before and then go to a drawing or other picture-viewing handler to stick it out.

Press the "Win + prtscr" button, release the button after the screen will have a second dimming effect, the screenshot is automatically saved to the library-pictures-My Pictures-screenshots, and the picture defaults to the format "screenshot (x). png", where x is the number and automatically increments in the screenshot sequence. (AutoSave only supports Full-screen screenshots, ALT + PRTSCR intercept active window is not able to implement automatic save)

3. How do I make Hyper-V and VMware virtual machine software co-exist?

If we install and run Hyper-V on our computer, other virtual machines, such as VMware, will not be able to run because both are based on the Hypervisor mechanism of the underlying hardware, such as CPUs, and they must manage Hypervisor exclusively, so they cannot run concurrently on a single computer. If you want to run two virtual machine platforms simultaneously in one system, you need to create two startup menus for Windows, and you can choose whether to run Hyper-V at startup.

In addition to Hyper-V, VMware virtual machines need to be run, but if two virtual machine platforms are installed in the system, VMware virtual machines will not be able to run: This is because both are based on the Hypervisor mechanism of the underlying hardware, such as CPUs, and they must exclusively manage H Ypervisor, so you can't run at the same time on a single computer. If you really need to install and use both virtual machine platforms on a single system, the only compromise we can use for the time being is to create two startup menus for Windows and choose whether to run Hyper-V at startup. 4. Run as Administrator

Because of permissions and security issues, many applications need to be run as administrators. For example, Potplayer under the non-administrator permissions can not modify the settings option, this time it is necessary to select "Run as Administrator", and in the "Start Screen" is also the right button, at the bottom of the option to select "Run as Administrator", the following figure.

5. Modify File Permissions

And the application requires administrator identity to run similar, many files under Windows default does not have full control of permissions, need to manually modify. For example, the Hosts file for Shine, right-click to select the attributes as shown in the following image to modify. (basically consistent in Win 7)

6. Make Windows to go

Load the prepared mirror files (ISO format) for Windows 8 into the virtual optical drive;

Insert the Ready USB storage device;

Open the Control Panel and click "Windows to Go";

Follow the steps in the next option to select the corresponding Win 8 mirrored file and USB storage device.

7. No password direct landing system

Press the Windows + R combination key, type Netplwiz in the pop-up run interface, and press ENTER to start the User Account dialog box. Cancel the checkbox before the user must enter a user name and password to use this computer, and then click OK.
