In traditional internet cafe access, carriers access through layer-2 switches and optical transceiver. According to the current situation, layer-2 switches cannot provide corresponding high-quality services, network efficiency is constantly decreasing, similar to the following problems.

1. Frequent broadcast storms occur on the LAN, which weakens the stability of the network.

2. Each Internet cafe uses the IP address of the same public network or private network IP segment. the IP address of the Internet cafe can be changed at will. other users' IP addresses are occupied.

3. bandwidth of various granularities cannot be provided, resulting in a single charging system.

4. Access Users cannot be distinguished by priorities, and it is difficult to prioritize Internet cafes and other large users.

Based on the above problems, the beacon network uses a high-performance Layer-3 Switch to replace the convergence of layer-2 switches at the local end, providing large-capacity, high-speed traffic forwarding.

Multiple applications in Internet cafes will generate numerous broadcast-based data packets during communication, and inevitable broadcast spread and collision will occur in the LAN, resulting in a broadcast storm, reduces network transmission performance. The beacon network S3000 supports VLAN division. It divides large broadcast domains into several smaller broadcast domains, limits broadcast storms to each small broadcast domain, and uses hardware-level broadcast packets, limits the number of broadcast packets forwarded by a vswitch. The pre-judgment mechanism is used to send protocol packets and broadcast packets to the CPU, so as to filter malicious attack packets and improve network performance.

For IP address misuse or address spoofing, S3000 can provide flexible and diverse ACL access control to manage IP addresses, so that the port is bound to the corresponding IP address. You cannot change the IP address assigned by the carrier, prevents unauthorized connection and connection, and ensures the legitimate rights and interests of users and network security. In addition, the timed ACL technology can be used to manage the business hours of Internet cafes, so as to easily meet the requirements of timed network disconnection and eliminate all-night business problems of some Internet cafes, which facilitates maintenance by operators.

The S3000 series switches can provide two speed limiting methods based on traffic and port. Based on the size of Internet cafes and the bandwidth to be rented, the corresponding bandwidth is assigned to determine the price, it is of great help to operators in carrying out various bandwidth operations. When the stream-based speed limit is adopted, the granularity of the speed limit can reach 64 Kbps, achieving various bandwidth options.

For VoD services in Internet cafes, The S3000 switch of the beacon Network supports the IGMP multicast protocol. The number of multicast entries can reach 500. Using the IGMP multicast protocol, you can effectively save LAN bandwidth while transmitting packets by group, thus increasing the network bandwidth usage. When a VoD program is added, the VoD Application can be well supported.

Internet cafes have high requirements on Network stability. The S3000 series L3 switches have eight hardware priority queues and can set priorities for MAC addresses, VLANs, IP addresses, and ports respectively, hardware QoS is used to ensure the service quality requirements of Internet cafes and other users.

In terms of network management, with the Easydo Network Management System of beacon network, operators can manage networks through multiple network management methods, such as CLI, Telnet, and Web, remote batch configuration, Line Fault Diagnosis and locating, traffic analysis, and port loop detection are implemented, which fundamentally reduces the work intensity of network administrators and allows devices to be monitored and managed anytime, anywhere.
