Sybase12.5 graphic installation tutorial in Windows
Because the project requires the sybase database, it is essential to install the database. I have never touched this thing before. I knew it was really spam after I used it! Prediction: two years later, it was eliminated by the database field! Joke !~
To get started, first prepare the installation file, decompress the ASE install.rarfile, including a setup.exe executable file in the folder, and double-click to run ---"
Welcome
Next, select the agreement of the corresponding country, we select "People's Republic of China", and select the following single button "I agree"
Next, select the main directory of the Sybase Database. The selected elastic disk is in the NTFS format and the database files are large (single file). If the file size exceeds 4 GB, an error occurs when the disk is in the FAT32 format.
The directory does not exist. The system prompts whether to create the directory now. Click "yes"
Select "typical installation", "full installation", or "custom installation"
Install, wait...
Confirm the information and click "Next"
Installation started
After a long period of time, the following page is displayed. Click "Next"
By default, continue "Next"
Which of the following servers do not need to be customized? "Next"
Wait for the screen to appear again. "Next"
Confirm the information and continue "Next"
It's been a long time to start again. Wait for it to be installed! PS: "icesoft" is my computer name. The default system name is the server name.
The installation is successful and the next step is continued"
The Sybase Database is installed, restarted, and ended.
Setting the character set of the database after the restart is also an annoying process. It is not so troublesome to install Oracle.
First go to the E: \ sybase \ ASE-12_5 \ install directory, start the Sybase service, RUN _ computer name. bat
Go to the cp936 directory under the Sybase installation directory under DOS,
Run: charset-Usa-P-Sxx binary. srt cp936 (xx indicates the server name, that is, a server name created in Dsedit Utility. this parameter is not required on the local machine)
OK, success
Use isql-Usa-P-Sxx to log on in a DOS environment. If-S is not specified, it is the server on this machine.
Enter and the prompt below appears.
Enter sp_configure "default character set id", 171, and press ENTER
Enter go and press Enter.
Enter shutdown and go, and press Enter.
Restart the service twice (E: \ sybase \ ASE-12_5 \ install \ RUN _ computer name. bat) because it automatically exits for the first time, it needs to be started twice (Figure omitted)
Then set the client character set:
Go to the "E: \ sybase \ locales" directory, there is a locales. bat file, open it in notepad, find the section prefixed with [NT], and change "iso_1" in the last line, that is, "locale = default, us_english, iso_1", to "cp936"
OK. The Sybase server is completely installed! Annoying!
