Teach you to create custom tools using Geometry Artboards

When drawing a lot of complex graphics using geometry artboards, it can be laborious and inefficient to use custom tools to save some common geometry for any call. The following tutorials illustrate ways to create new tools using the Geometry artboard Customization Tool.

The basic steps for creating a custom tool are as follows:

Open the geometry artboard and create a new blank page and draw the petal shape as shown.

　　

Select all of the shapes you created, click the Customize Tool button in the Toolbox, and under the submenu, choose Create New Tool (as shown).

　　

The New Tool dialog box appears, naming the tool name the petal graphic, and clicking OK.

　　

Save the artboard file. To open the File menu, click the Save button and save the file to your tool folder Gsptools.

Close the geometry artboard and reopen the geometry artboard. In the custom tool you will see the petal shape you created, select it, and click inside the plane, and a petal graphic will appear.
