Run UCweb! Tencent cannot purchase QQ mobile browsers

According to sources, Tencent has quietly started to test mobile browsers recently. Currently, Tencent's internal browser does not support browsing Web, Wap2.0, and GIF images, but it will be solved in later versions. The product is expected to be officially released 3-6 months later. After its launch, it will compete with UCweb, a local mobile browser led by Lei Jun.

UCweb is not afraid of QQ

UCweb is a leading company in the mobile browser market in China. Lei Jun, former CEO of Kingsoft Software, is the investor and chairman of the company. UCweb supports more than 500 Java mobile phones of more than 10 brands including Nokia, Motorola, SonyErrision, LG, and Samsung, as well as smart phone platforms such as symbian, WindowsMobile, smartphone, and pocketpc. Currently, UCweb has more than 70 million users, and Lei Jun has repeatedly said that UCweb is expected to become a Chinese Google.

Tencent was rejected to invest in UCweb, so it switched to develop a browser. "In the mobile browser market with high user consistency, Tencent's mobile browser will be officially released to compete with UCweb by virtue of Tencent's many mobile QQ users ." Some analysts say so.

However, Yu Yongfu, CEO of ucweb.com, said that he is not afraid of Tencent's competition because UCweb has laid the core strength. "We believe that a number of companies are making mobile browsers that ultimately benefit customers. In addition, Tencent is optimistic about this market. We can see that UCweb has already tapped this market potential ."

Three camps are scrambling for mobile browsers

If mobile Internet is a huge Kingsoft, mobile browsers are an important channel to the Kingsoft.
