Character is the class, char base data type.

There are three classes in Java that are responsible for manipulating characters: Character, String, StringBuffer. Where the character class operates on a single character, string is an operation on a sequence of characters, and StringBuffer is an operation on a string of characters.

Char can be automatically packaged into character; Character can also be automatically split into char.
But they still have an essential difference.

Character CH2 = new Character (' A ');

class provides multiple methods of action.
