Recently, a large number of users reported that Windows cannot find a disk in Windows Vista. Many users suspect that the disk is related to drug overlord. :

No Disk

Today, Papa received a report from his colleagues and found the cause of the problem.

Papa assumes that the following project is the cause of this phenomenon:

After checking with the user, you can delete the scheduled task. A similar method has been used to solve the problem of multiple users.

Troubleshooting

Many software programs, including Microsoft, use Windows scheduled tasks to perform scheduled tasks, such as Windows Defender, Norton, Mcafee, Apple, and sogou. Windows Vista also has many built-in scheduled tasks. After some software is detached or files are directly deleted, the scheduled task is not cleaned up, which will result in the Windows Prompt that there is no floppy disk. Windows prompts that the files in the disk defined in the scheduled task cannot be found, and related operations cannot be performed.

This issue is not necessarily related to Kingsoft's drug overlord and any anti-virus software. For example, if Papa obtains the user's detection log, the installed Kaspersky will also have this problem.

Verification Method

Click the start button for Windows-Program-accessories-System Tools-Task Scheduler. :

Click "scheduler task library" to find a non-Microsoft scheduler task. In the figure, it is the scheduler task of the sogou input method. In fact, this program does not exist.

In this case, you can use the Windows Task Scheduler manager to delete a non-Microsoft scheduled task. :

Then, expand the task scheduler library to view the scheduler tasks not created by Microsoft. I found that Apple's scheduled tasks are deleted directly if the files do not exist. :

Note: Because the Vista system itself creates many scheduled tasks, it is recommended that you do not change the scheduled tasks created by Microsoft without confirming whether the system files are lost or otherwise faulty. Priority should be given to verification and processing of non-Microsoft scheduled tasks.

Delete scheduled tasks in Vista

1. This program is not frequently used or is no longer used.

2. The file to which the scheduled task points does not exist, especially files under a non-system drive letter.

3. If no abnormal scheduled task is found in the third-party program, check whether the scheduled task provided by Microsoft does not exist or has insufficient permissions.

Tips for checking whether a file exists

1. Modify the properties of the taskbar and desktop menu to enable the running button. :

2. Click the start button of Windows-run, or press the windows key + R key on the disk to bring up the run dialog box. Enter cmd to confirm.

3. In cmd, enclose the path with the "" sign, and enter or paste the complete path of the dir/a "program" to the command prompt.

Note: We recommend that you enter quotation marks in the English input mode to ensure that the quotation marks are entered in the halfwidth mode.

Explanation: the advantage of this operation is to avoid a long wait for windows Search. For example, we can clearly identify that the file does not exist.
