The hard disk installation of Fedora14 does not change the current MBR

1. download the iso file, this time is the Fedora-14-i686-Live-Desktop.iso; 2. decompress all the files to drive C. The format of drive C is FAT32, and NTFS is also acceptable. 3. download the latest grub4dos from LinuxIDC.com. if the version is low, it cannot be booted (the installation can be guided, but the boot system cannot find the file). Extract the GRLDR file from drive C, right-click it, and create a menu. LST text document. 4. Open boot. ini of drive C.

6. after installing the system, do not close it. Find the kernel number in the/boot folder of the installed Fedora-14, and find the UUID of the target partition in the/etc/fstab file, mount a Windows partition, create a new file to store the UUID and kernel number, restart and enter Windows (note that two Fedora-14 with the same name are displayed, one of which is livecd, we want to select the one installed on the hard disk! UUID changes after each partition );

7. Open menu. LST of drive C and copy the following content: (hd0, 7) It is the partition where I installed Fedora. A CDEF disk exists before and can be modified according to the actual situation. In the red long string section, I installed the UUID of the Fedora partition and modified it according to my UUID. Note: there is a space between the red UUID and the blue backslash, no leading space! The underlined part is the number of the kernel on which you install fedora)
