Recently, two Windows ServiceProgramBecause of the similarities, I directly inherited the installation class of the first service in the installation class of the second service. It is found that when the second service is installed using the installutil tool, redundant services are installed.

 

Projectinstaller inherits system. configuration. install. installer. they have an initializecomponent function in the constructor, And in this function they load serivceinstaller. Therefore, if the second service inherits the first service, it has two serviceinstall, therefore, a redundant service is installed. The solution is simple: Remove initializecomponent from the constructor In the subclass.
