On Reddit these two days
The most popular postIt's not about any technical issues, but about how cups (Common Unix Printing System) in GNOME prints the README file of the System Manager. It shows us how interesting and intriguing it is to incorporate the humanistic spirit into technology ......
This readme file starts like this:
Once upon a time there was a printer who lived in the woods. He was a lonely printer, because nobody knew how to configure him. He has ED and has ed for someone to play.
One day, the wind passed by the printer's cottage. "whoosh," said the wind. The printer became excited. Maybe the wind wocould be his friend!
"Will you be my friend ?" The printer asked.
"Whoosh," said the wind.
"What does that mean ?" Asked the printer.
"Whoosh," said the wind, and with that it was gone.
The printer was confused. He spent the rest of the day thinking and jamming paper (for that is what little printers do when they are confused ).
What did you think? Greenfairy tale, Tagore or ice-hearted poetry?
There areGood Chinese Translation, Really good:
A long time ago, a printer lived in the forest. It is very lonely because no one knows how to configure it. It wants someone to play with it.
One day, the wind blew through the printer's hut and shouted ". The printer started to get excited. Maybe the wind could be a friend of it.
