The significance of interaction design

What the recent interaction design is doing is starting to become a topic that is often heard. Although the interactive design of the UED team has already accounted for a considerable proportion, both visual and front-end engineers know very little about the work of interactive design, not to mention PD and engineering development. In the training of the hundred nets, the service and BI colleagues have a rough understanding of vision and the front end, but the interactive design of this position is strange, often heard a word is, is interactive design also a drawing?

Sometimes I use a metaphor to illustrate the functions of various positions in product development: if the product as a house to look at, by the PD to be sold according to WHO to decide our house is the seaside villas, exquisite community or low-cost rental and supporting settings, and interactive designers to design drawings and environmental planning, After the completion by the visual designer and front-end development engineers to build and decorate, the house built by the PO to be responsible for the rental, then the Department of Services as a property management to meet the needs of the community.

This example may not be exactly the same, such as the sequence of the visual and front-end intervention is vague here, but I think this has basically explained the problem. The responsibility of the interaction designer is very important in the process of ued, the excellent interaction design can solve most of the construction and post service problems in the drawing stage, but the defective interaction design will bring the loophole that need to be repaired constantly.

In this example we do not find the existence of many jobs in the above example, but it is clearly a complete product, if this relative as PD, then there is visual and front-end, but there is no interaction designer intervention, then this will really affect the quality of the product?

I doubt that interactive design can improve the quality of the product. In fact, a good PD or a good vision can replace the work of most interaction designers, and I think there are other reasons why interactive design can be an independent position. Take the first example and assume that if PD decides to develop a house that is built directly with the idea of PD, then what will happen? I can't predict, but you can imagine.

The involvement of interaction designers is not just a matter of improving professionalism, but more importantly, reducing business risk . The importance of job segmentation is here, the greater the company, the larger the project, the more interactive designers have the necessity of existence, PD to meet the needs of users, the front-end to meet the development needs, and interaction and vision to do the combination of the two needs.

I've been working with my friends to present my view that interaction design is a marginal profession, which is not even a technology, because interactive design involves a wide range of disciplines and knowledge, but rarely depth. The only value of interactive design is to comb the business logic, design model and user model in the past, and to reduce the iterative and later maintenance cost of the design and development to a lower level.

Do not talk about interactive design to do, only talk about the meaning of the existence of interactive design, I would like to make a comment.
