Since December 2013, the National College English CET Examination committee will make a partial adjustment to the structure and test questions of the CET examination.
2015 English level four test questions include four of the most: composition, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, translation.

Ii. description of the types of questions
1) Writing
The writing section tests the students ' ability to write in English with a score of 15% and a test time of 30 minutes. The writing test chooses the subject which the examinee is familiar with, requests the examinee according to the information and the hint (for example: outline, scene, picture or chart etc.) to write a short essay, four level 120-180 words , six level 150-200 words.
2) Listening comprehension
The Listening comprehension section tests the students ' ability to obtain verbal information. The recording material is spoken in standard English or American English, speaking at a speed of four, about 130 words per minute , and six levels of 150 words per minute. The proportion of listening part score is 35%, in which the conversation is 15% and the essay occupies 20%. The exam time is 30 minutes.
The dialogue includes short dialogues and long dialogues, which are evaluated in the form of multiple choice questions. There were 8 paragraphs in the short dialogue, one for each paragraph, 2 for the long dialogue, 3-4 questions for each paragraph and 15 for the dialogue section. Each conversation is read aloud, leaving a 13-15-second answer after each question.
The passage part includes the passage comprehension and the word and phrase dictation. The passage comprehension has 3 articles, uses the multi-choice question form to carry on the appraisal. Level four each length is 220-250 words, six level is 240-270 words. Each passage read aloud, ask 3-4 questions, each question left 13-15 seconds to answer time, a total of 10 questions. The words and phrases are dictated by 1 essays, the length of four is 220-250 words, and six levels are 240-270 words. The candidates are asked to fill in the vacant words or phrases with the original text they hear on the basis of the passage, a total of 10 questions. The passage is played three times.
3) Reading comprehension
The reading Comprehension section includes 1 lengthy readings and 3 readings to test students ' reading comprehension at different levels, including the ability to understand the main idea and important details of a text or paragraph, to synthesize analysis, to speculate and to infer the meaning of the word in context. This part of the proportion of 35%, including long reading accounted for 10%, read carefully accounted for 25%. The exam time is 40 minutes.
The long reading section adopts 1 articles with a length of four, about 1000 words , and six levels of about 1200 words. Reading speed level Four about 100 words per minute; Six levels about 120 words per minute. The text is accompanied by 10 sentences, each sentence. The information contained in each sentence is derived from a paragraph in the text, requiring the examinee to find the paragraph that matches the information contained in each sentence. Some paragraphs may correspond to two questions, and some paragraphs may not correspond to any of the questions.
A careful reading section requires candidates to read 3 essays. 2 articles for a number of choice questions to understand the test, each length of four to 300-350 words , six levels 400-450 words, 1 articles for the choice of words, the text length four is 200-250 words, six is 250-300 words. The essay understands that after each article there are a number of questions that require candidates to choose the best answer from each of the four options, based on their understanding of the article. Fill in the blanks, ask the examinee to read a short passage to delete some words, then choose the correct vocabulary from the options given to make the passage recovery.
4) Translation
In part, the students ' ability to express Chinese information in English is 15%, and the test time is 30 minutes. Translation is a passage from Chinese to English. The content of translation involves China's history, culture, economy, social development and so on. The four-level length is 140-160 Chinese characters and the six-level length is 180-200 Chinese characters.
English four grades in 500 points and above can be enrolled in oral English , cet-set exam divided into three parts:
The first part is the candidates and CET authorized examiners to talk, in the form of questions and answers. The time is about 5 minutes.
The second part includes 1.5 minutes of individual speakers and 4.5 minutes of group discussion. The time is about 10 minutes.
The third part is asked again by the examiner to further determine the candidate's oral communication skills. The time is about 5 minutes.
