The Virtual Machine cocould not be added. The virtual machine configuration cocould not be added. A configuration with this name already exists.
When Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 is used, this error message is displayed when a new virtual machine configuration file is added. the general cause is that the virtual machine file is deleted directly instead of using the remove virtual machine option on the management interface. when you add a virtual machine with the same name again, this will happen.
Solution: Go to c: \ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ Virtual Server \ virtual machines to delete the snapshot cut of the Virtual Machine name, in this way, there will be no problems when you add it again. note that this may be a hidden file, so you need to set the hidden file and folder to find it.
Each time you add a virtual machine configuration file, this sort cut will be added. Therefore, if you manually delete a virtual machine, you can also delete the configuration file.
