Thoughts on Project Management

I haven't written a blog for a long time. I 've been busy with other things recently.

Project management is a large scope, and many things are encountered. There are detailed procedures in the book. PMBOK specifies the knowledge field of the entire project management, but there are many methods for project management, many schools, in addition, there are not many companies that really follow books. Experience is indeed very important. I think it is very important to have experienced many projects, observe more, think more, and summarize them into a knowledge base.

Eat a grain, grow wisdom. The companies I have worked on have encountered problems in projects, large and small projects, success and failure, and are vivid.

Causes of failure;

Estimate the project workload by mistake;

Estimate the project time by mistake;

There was no necessary backup during the demonstration, but the demonstration was broken down. There was no way to correct errors during the demonstration and the customer left angrily;

Business personnel pull projects that their company cannot complete;

Overestimated the company's strength. Of course, it is acceptable to overestimate it. If there is no good project to do, there is no way to climb a higher level;

Important personnel suddenly leave, and the company does not have any reserve power.

I usually do not pay attention to the testing power. I am eager to test it only when I release it, or I just don't test it very much.

By the way, I will organize a salon activity next week to talk about multi-project management. If you have experience in hosting the event, the salon may solve the following:

2. Everyone says that their projects are the most urgent, and their priorities are forced to be changed frequently, causing frequent disputes.
