When Linux is installed through VMware, the Linux system needs to be online or remotely operated via SSH, so network configuration is required, there are three modes:

    

1. Bridging mode

This way to share the host's real network card, you need to set the IP, subnet mask, gateway and other information, equivalent to a separate host, free internet access.

2.NAT mode

With VMware's virtual DHCP assignment IP address, the host's VMnet8 as a gateway, this system can access the host and the Internet, but can not communicate within the LAN, this IP is virtual IP does not exist.

3. Host-only mode

The Host-only method only implements the virtual machine host communication and cannot access the local area network and the VMnet0 of the host on the Internet.
