Three ways JavaScript empties an array

Method 1,length is assigned a value of 0

The clear method of the current array in prototype and the empty method of the array in the MooTools library use this method to empty the array.

1     var ary = [1,2,3,4];   2     ary.length = 0;   3     // output [], empty array, is emptied  

Mode 2, assigned to []

The clear method of the Ext library Ext.compositeelementlite class is cleared using this method.

1     var ary = [1,2,3,4];   2     // assign to an empty array to clear the original array  

Mode 1 retains the other properties of the array, and mode 2 is not preserved.

Mode 3,splice (this method can also be used to empty the class array)

1     var ary = [1,2,3,4];   2     Ary.splice (0, ary.length);   3     // output [], empty array, is emptied
