Three ways of WLAN access by wireless router

Users who have access to broadband routers are probably aware that the ports on the broadband router have a WAN port and a LAN port. Broadband routers have a feature in the work process: data flows from LAN to WAN are unrestricted by default through routers, and cannot be passed by default from Wan to LAN direction. (Note: The wireless access portion of the wireless broadband router is subordinate to the LAN range) that is, by default, the packets sent from the computer on the LAN enter the LAN port of the router, which can be sent from the WAN through the router smoothly, but after the active packets from the WAN have entered the WAN port, Routers do not allow those packets to pass by default.

This document mainly describes the configuration method when there are multiple broadband routers in the LAN (the main example is the wired router tl-r460+ and the wireless router tl-wr541g+).

First, network topology analysis

1, suppose you have an ADSL broadband line, after the tl-r460+ broadband router to achieve the two computers share the Internet, the network connection diagram is as follows:

Broadband Line 〈-〉ADSL modem〈-〉 (WAN port) r460+ (LAN port) 〈-〉 computer

2, for some reason, you bought tl-wr541g+ wireless Broadband router, want to network can provide wireless access function, this time must be from tl-r460+ LAN port to draw a network cable connection tl-wr541g+, then should connect the wr541g+ Wan mouth. Or a LAN port that links wr541g+. The network connection diagram has the following two kinds:

1 Broadband line 〈-〉ADSL modem〈-〉r460+ (LAN port) 〈-〉 (WAN Port) wr541g+ (wireless) 〈-〉 computer

According to this wiring method, as long as the following settings can be:
First, the computer 2 IP address configured to 192.168.1.X (X take the natural number range 2-254), through the http://192.168.1.1 into the wr541g+ management interface, in the " Network parameters "-"LAN port Settings " Inside, the LAN port IP address is changed to: 172. . 1. 1 (note: This address can be changed to and the original address section of the arbitrary intranet address), save the prompts to restart the router.

Next, modify the IP address of the computer to 172. . 1. X (x takes natural number range 2~254)

Again through the http://172. . 1. 1 addresses are configured at the WAN port in the wr541g+ management community, which requires static IPconfiguration in the WAN settings in the WR541 configuration interface, with the following parameters:

IP address:. . 1. X (x takes natural number range 2~254)

Subnet Mask: 255. 255. 255. 0

Default gateway: a. . 1. 1

Note: This way, after connecting the router r460+ the following computer can not be exchanged with the computer under wr541g+ through the Internet neighbors.

2 Broadband line 〈-〉ADSL modem〈-〉r460+ (LAN port) 〈-〉 (LAN Kou) wr541g+ (wireless) 〈-〉 computer

This connection is not necessary to configure the WAN port because it does not use the wr541g+ Wan, only the following sections are configured:

First, you need to turn off the wr541g+ DHCP server feature (select " do not enable ").

Second, change the wr541g+ LAN port IP address (and tl-r460+ LAN port address on the same network segment), for example: . 1. 254, as long as this IP address is not used by other computers.

Next is the wireless or wired way to connect wr541g+ and computers, the above two-step configuration after the wr541g+ is equivalent to a "wireless switch", so wired or wireless connection to the computer above the wr541g+ TCP/IP properties and r460+ to maintain the same. It's like these computers are directly connected to the computer below the r460+ LAN port.

Through the above configuration, you can achieve intranet multiple routers under the computer sharing Internet.

second, the instance without line by the LAN

LAN broadband access to the wireless router's WAN port, the computer network card and LAN port to connect well.
First set in the tp-link541g+:
ip:192.168.2.1 in LAN options, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0. After saving the router restarts,
Set the local connection properties for the computer, and the TCP/IP properties are modified to:
ip:192.168.2.100
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.2.1
DNS: DNS for broadband providers everywhere.
After saving, open IE, type 192.168.2.1, and enter the wireless router settings:
The WAN port setup parameters are as follows:
WAN Port Connection Type selection: Static IP
ip:192.168.1.x (LAN assigned to your IP, do not repeat with the other people on the LAN on the line)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (gateway to LAN)
DNS: Local DNS
Save.
Enable the DHCP service,
Address pool start Address: 192.168.2.100
Address pool End Address: 192.168.2.199
Gateway: 192.168.2.1
DNS: Local DNS
After saving, restart the router.
Finally set up the iphone:
After you locate the network, set the following:
Ip:192.168.2.101
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Router (Gateway): 192.168.2.1
DNS: Same as your computer

OK, now your iphone is available on the Internet.
