Tomcat server does not output access logs

Source: Internet

Sometimes a WEB Service is deployed under tomcat as an interface. Due to frequent access, access logs under/var/log/tomcat7 are greatly expanded, affecting server performance.

Here, my method is to disable access logs. The method is to comment out the access log output in the configuration file. My server is ubuntu and tomcat 7 is automatically installed.

Server. xml in/etc/tomcat7, comment out the following configuration

<! -- <Valve className = "org. apache. catalina. valves. accessLogValve "directory =" logs "prefix =" localhost_access_log. "suffix = ". txt "pattern =" % h % l % u % t "% r" % s % B "/> -->

Restart Tomcat 7:

Sudo service tomcat7 restart

No logs are output.
