The service manager starts the service by calling the onstart method, and then takes 30 seconds to wait for the onstart method to return. If the method is not returned within this period of time, the manager displays an error indicating that the service cannot be started.

When debugging the onstart method in a Windows service application, pay attention to the 30 seconds. If you place a breakpoint in the onstart method and do not pass the breakpoint within 30 seconds, the Manager will not start the service.
