Turn off Android/iphone browser automatically recognize numbers for phone numbers

Source: Internet
Author: User

Safari on the iphone (and some webkit Android phone browsers) automatically adds a phone link to a number string that looks like a phone number (including formatting that has been added to hyphens or parentheses), and then asks the user if they want to dial the number. If you don't want to turn on this automatic recognition, you can turn it off:
<meta name= "format-detection" content= "Telephone=no"/>
If you turn off auto-recognition and want some phone numbers to link to your iphone's dialing capabilities, you can declare a phone link by:
<a href= "tel:13800138000" >13800138000</a>
