Parse Photoshop toolbar (the version I use is PS CS5)

Photoshop Tutorials

Toolbars are divided into 4 unique categories in Photoshop so it's not difficult to find the right tools. These classifications are:

Select, cut, slice, and assist tools.

Grooming and Drawing tools

Pen and text tools

and observation tools (slightly different versions)

In addition to these 4 areas there are a number of other components that make up the toolbar, the more obvious is the foreground and background color. (as pictured)

Now that you know the structure of the toolbar, let's take a look at the important tools that Photoshop provides. This is just a rough explanation of the toolbar, and we'll look at each of the tools provided by Photoshop in a separate section.

Marquee tool: Used to select objects, such as rectangles, squares, and ellipses.

Move tool: Used to move selections, objects, and layers.

Lasso Tool: These lasso tools are used to create irregular graphic selections. The Polygon Lasso tool is used to create polygon selections, and the magnetic lasso tool is used to automatically track edges of objects.

The Magic wand tool only needs a click to select a region of similar color (such as the cloud-white portion of the image above).

Q: What is a constituency?

A: A selection is used to isolate one or more parts of an image. By selecting a specific area, you can edit the effects and filters and apply them to the part of the image while keeping the unselected areas unchanged. The dotted area in the figure above is the selection.

Q: What does this object refer to?

A: This article refers to the object is the human eye can distinguish the target image.

This object can be inside a layer or multiple layers, or within a selection.

Cut tool: The Cut tool allows the user to resize their image area, but not the entire image, which is somewhat similar to cutting a small portion of a layer with a pair of scissors.

Repair Tool:

The Photoshop Repair tool is used to repair image defects, stains and red-eye.

Q: What is red eye?

A: This is a photographic term used to shoot people, and when a flashlight hits a person's eye, the pupil enlarges to allow more light to pass, and the blood vessels in the retina produce a reddening phenomenon in the photograph.

Clone Stamp tool: The Clone Stamp tool is a cloning tool that draws a portion of an image to another part of the same image or to another part of any open document that has the same color pattern. You can also draw part of a layer to another layer. The Clone Stamp tool is useful for copying objects or for removing defects in an image.

Eraser Tool: The eraser tool is used to erase images, selections, or parts of a layer. is very similar to the rubber effect in reality.

Sharpening tool: Used to sharpen edges of an image

Blur tool: Blurs the image

Smudge tool: You can smear an image as if using a finger.

Dodge Tool: You can brighten certain areas of your image.

Burn tool: You can darken certain areas of the image.

Sponge Tools: The image is usually darker or diluted in some parts.

Painting tools

Brush and pencil tools are often used to draw patterns that can be very effective in painting custom images. Similar to the use of brushes or pencils in reality.

Paint bucket tools are often used to fill colors for layers, selections, and areas with solid colors or gradients.

Vector Painting and text tools

The type tool is used to insert text like a picture, and you can define the font size, font type, color, and so on as word.

Pen tools are often used to create simple shapes and paths and can be scaled down to a vector object's free magnification.

The shape tool is a vector object that creates shapes that Photoshop has already set (for example: rectangles, circles, polygons, custom shapes)

Foreground/Background color

The foreground and background colors can be set freely, and can be used in conjunction with paint drums, brushes, text, and so on (usually by default the foreground color) is like the color painted on the palette. In this way, it is easy for users to know the colors they currently use. We can toggle the foreground and background colors by clicking the arrows in the upper-right corner.

Tips for using tools

These tools will depend on the actual use of the tools, if you want to use the tool only need to click once, some tools with a black triangle in the lower right corner indicates that it has more tools, right click or long press the tool to switch.
