It was an intoxicating day. The conventions of element data programming, dynamic typing, and the combination of Ruby and rails are better than configurations (Convention over configuration), giving us faster development and cleaner code. has been built into the language of the test-driven principle, the entire community to provide you with a lot of written good, validated code. Behavioral-driven Development (BDD)-dying in Java (who's using JBehave?) )--appearing and thriving in Ruby: RSpec was the first successful case, followed by cucumber. Today, the best Ruby is also the best agile/xp showroom, and other languages are far behind.

In the twinkling of an eye for 2012 years, the era of revolution has come to an end. Ruby has matured and Ruby has become the mainstream language in the programming world, at least the mainstream is drifting toward Ruby. While the penetration of ruby in traditional businesses, such as banking, is not very successful, emerging ruby companies such as LivingSocial and Groupon have now grown into big businesses. The iconic moment in which Ruby became mainstream was the November 2010 salesforce.com acquisition of Heroku, a position that was further strengthened in July by--ruby founder Matz (Yukihiro Matsumoto) was Heroku hired as Chief Division.

More interestingly, rails has become the standard technology for Web startups. While this success does not have much impact on the AGILE/XP community, the community is still a process-focused community, and likes to try languages such as Clojure and Erlang, a grassroots-driven community accompanied by a wide variety of seminars around the world.
