Ubuntu 13.10 and Linux Mint 16

The well-known candidate version of KDE 4.13 RC has been released. This is a BUG fix version, and the candidate code as a genuine version has been frozen.

The stable version of KDE 4.13 will become the desktop version of KUbuntu 14.04.

This installation tutorial is suitable for Ubuntu 13.10 and Linux Mint 16 users:

Use the following command to upgrade the desktop:

Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: kubuntu-ppa/backports
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

To install the complete desktop, run the following command:

Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: kubuntu-ppa/backports
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install kde-standard kubuntu-desktop
