Ubuntu 14.04 Virtual Machine to switch the desktop environment

Today, I installed a new Ubuntu 14.04 VM on my physical machine, but it is very slow and very slow. After a long time, I had no choice but to choose another desktop environment.

1. The first step is to install the gnome-session-fallback package.

# Sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback

2. log out of the current user and log on again. There is a small icon in the upper right corner of the new logon window. You can use this small icon to select the desktop environment used after logon. Select "GNOME Flashback (Metacity )".

3. Congratulations, the desktop environment has changed to Metacity. Now... Fast, fast, and fast.
